Royals Can't Catch Up To Monadnock

Royals fell behind early and couldn't come back in a 15-0 loss to Monadnock on Wednesday. Monadnock took the lead on a single in the first inning.

The Royals struggled to contain the high-powered offense of Monadnock, giving up 15 runs.

Monadnock got things moving in the first inning. Monadnock scored one run when Joe Morrellsingled.

A single by Logan Briand in the third inning was a positive for Royals.

Kevin Putnam led the Monadnock to victory on the hill. He lasted three innings, allowing two hits and zero runs while striking out five and walking one. Carl Hoden and Hunter Langworthyentered the game out of the bullpen and helped to close out the game in relief.

Brennen Murphy took the loss for Royals. He went one and one-third innings, allowing five runs on one hit and striking out one.

Devin Tetreault, Caleb McAlister, and Briand each collected one hit to lead Royals.

Monadnock collected 17 hits on the day. Tyler Stone, Hoden, Tim Santaw, Putnam, Morrell, and Matt Dodd all collected multiple hits for Monadnock. Monadnock didn't commit a single error in the field. Jake Laplante had eight chances in the field, the most on the team.
