Hopkinton Runs Away With Early Lead In Victory

Royals fell behind early and couldn't come back in a 14-0 loss to Hopkinton on Friday. Hopkinton took the lead on a stolen base in the first inning.

The Royals struggled to contain the high-powered offense of Hopkinton, giving up 14 runs.

Hopkinton got on the board in the first inning when Crawford drew a walk, scoring one run.

A single by Devin Tetreault in the first inning was a positive for Royals.

P Marshall pitched Hopkinton to victory. He allowed one hit and zero runs over two innings, striking out four. Delgato threw one inning in relief out of the bullpen.

Josh Evans took the loss for Royals. He lasted three innings, allowing 15 hits and 12 runs while striking out two.

Aframe started the game for Hopkinton. He went two innings, allowing zero runs on one hit and striking out four

Maven Parrish and Tetreault each collected one hit to lead Royals.

Hopkinton tallied 17 hits. Yianakopolos, Delgato, Charron, Marshall, Burack, Ranson, and Baereach managed multiple hits for Hopkinton. Yianakopolos went 3-for-3 at the plate to lead Hopkinton in hits. Hopkinton didn't commit a single error in the field. Crawford had seven chances in the field, the most on the team. Hopkinton stole ten bases during the game as two players stole more than one. Baer led the way with two.
