MVRHS Royals Varsity Baseball Loses Lead Early In Defeat

MVRHS Royals Varsity Baseball watched the game slip away early and couldn't recover in a 10-2 loss to Stevens on Monday. Stevens scored on a double by T Bonneau in the first inning and a single by B Bean in the first inning.

The MVRHS Royals Varsity Baseball struggled to put runs on the board and had a tough time defensively containing Stevens, giving up ten runs.

In the bottom of the first inning, Stevens tied things up at two. Bean drove in one when he singled.

Stevens pulled away for good with one run in the second inning.

Stevens scored five runs in the sixth inning. Owen Taylor, Bonneau, Gabe Miller, and A Cahilleach drove in runs during the inning.

D Stanhopt was the winning pitcher for Stevens. He allowed six hits and two runs over seven innings, striking out eight.

Ethan Brueckner took the loss for MVRHS Royals Varsity Baseball. He surrendered ten runs on 11 hits over five and a third innings, striking out two.

Brueckner led MVRHS Royals Varsity Baseball with two hits in three at bats.

Stevens tallied 11 hits on the day. Cahill, Taylor, and Bean all managed multiple hits for Stevens. Stevens was sure-handed and didn't commit a single error. Cahill made the most plays with eight.
